I'm in. I have several food grade water containers I would love to share with you boys. PLEASE!
I’m interested. Too far out for me to call though due to work but I’ll come if I can.

My favorite times camping was doing it primitive style. When the kids were young we took them to Colorado and camped from 8,000ft to over 12,000ft living off the land for some of our meals. We ate a lot of fish and got water from solar blankets covering holes dug in the ground with green leafy material in the hole to evaporate and gather water in the center. The kids hated it, but in their 40's now, they still remember.
Thats was the extreme vacation. The rest of the time it was much more civilized, but always in a tent. When the kids moved out, wife said the tent was gone, never again.
My wife hasn't been in a tent in decades....but, I sure have. Geezers vacation. lol. We normally are in our fifth wheel at 10killer or a couple of times a year at Pine Creek, tho'. We no longer take it to the mountains but rent cabins and leave the dogs home instead when we go there together. Bea and I still make a tent trip up there each year tho'.

I wouldn't put anyone through a camping trip with my two pups. True meaning of the word 'Heathans'!

Floyd, I am gathering items for primitive camp. When you have time, would you share with us your list of items? Thanks.

Pretty easy actually. Just think of what you will be without and bring what you will need in addition to your regular stuff. You will need to bring water for washing and cooking. Look at what you use that uses electricity and find a substitute. No showers, so bring a wash basin, etc. I use a small propane heater to warm the tent when I get up. I do not sleep with it on even at well below freezing so make certain your bedding is adequate for the weather.

sorta like when you go to a buffet and your eyes are bigger than your stomach. I was looking at my calendar and don't think I can fit it in. I'll have Tenkiller and local fishing all winter; bird season lasts until mid Feb and I'll have a couple trips to Black Kettle/Kansas for that; a Grizzly Jig trip in Jan; a trip with my wife in Feb; my Spring trip for 2 weeks to Pine Creek in Mar; and a planned week long tent camp to either Sardis, Wister or back to Pine Creek in Apr. Maybe I can get in a day trip to Gaines but that's probably about it. Sorry for building up expectations.

Let's do a camp in March at Pine Creek? I'm sure by then they will need more rain.
And let's get together again in April at Sardis, Wister or Pine Creek. It all sounds good to me, well that if nothing screws up for me.
