E loop is OK for tents and smaller campers or RV's. Fairly level with a few rocks good shade. Lots of raccoons so watch your food. You can check the pad lengths on Recreation.gov. I prefer to camp at one of the walk in sites on H loop but you have to take whatever is open. For some reason E loop is always the last loop to fill up. I live in Tulsa and I would love to come fish with you guys. However I have medical issues that prevent me from fishing or camping any more.

Appreciate the invite, but it is a long way to drive from Tulsa to Pine Creek to eat dinner and shoot the breeze. I don't mean to come across as a smart ass but I have daily cancer treatments that pretty much dictate that I stay close to home. Plus I am physically unable to make that long drive any more. My fishing these days is done vicariously through the posts on Crappie.com and other fishing sites. I thoroughly enjoy reading the posts on this site. Hope you have a great geezer camp and catch one for me.
grizwilson thanked you for this post
You certainly don’t come across as a smart ***.
Just wanted to make sure you knew you were welcome at the geezer camp.
I understand now, hopefully we will have lots of pics for you.

My plans (subject to change) are not to make a reservation for the last weekend in March, but to try and get in one of the H loop walk up sites. If not there I'll find somewhere. These plans are contingent on my RV going down there. If that falls thru I'll be in my tent with the bunch. I do have reservations for about a week down there beginning the 2d of March. I just wanted to go down and explore there and maybe Broken Bow. I'll also get a good feel for the campsites for Geezer Camp later that month. The weekends in March and April are getting reserved pretty fast so there might be a bunch of people on the lake.

I talked to David Stewart, the local Corps person for Pine Creek Lake and he said that I would be able to drive to the Area "E" campgrounds and to the ramp. He said it was the only campgrounds and road open during the Winter months. I will go there on Sunday, February 18th, after my Striper trip to Texoma, and report back on how Area "E" looks for tent camping and RV sites. As I stated in an earlier post, I will monitor the Reservation web site if people start reserving sites before I get down there, we will need to go ahead and reserve sites quickly. Be prepared to reserve a campsite. If you see Area "E" activity on the Reservation website..please send me a text or call me......

I think I met you at the Grizzly jig show. My wife and I were there from Paris, Tx. and you were telling us about this get together at Pine Creek.
We are planning on taking you up on the invite to come up and camp. I saw all the reservations on loop A and figured that was your bunch, so I made a reservation there. We are going up and look at the sites after the 1st. and see if we need to change sites.
See you there.

Well not sure if I can pull it off but if I can put off knee surgery til after camp couple of us jayhawks may come down for 2 or 3 days...if you would keep posting how the reservations are going I'd appreciate it...probably just going to do a tent this time....shortdraw
Crappie Shooter, Great that you folks are coming! We haven't made reservations at Little River yet. Area A has been reserved by other campers for several weeks. We are looking at Area E and as of this morning all nine sites are available. Our concern is that none of us have ever seen the campsites. Most of us are tent campers and need somewhat level areas. I will be at Pine Creek on Sunday, February 18th and will look at all the Area E sites and report back by posting on this Sub-forum. We are monitoring the Recreation.gov web site daily and if someone starts reserving Area E sites, we will alert everyone to go ahead and make their reservations. We will have to just take the risk on the sites. Don't change your reservation until we have more information. Again, glad you can make it!....dave ..... (Would you PM me your phone number?)
