Decided to do you geezers a solid and scout it out for you . Hit it yesterday for 7 hours and cleaned up when I found the fish (which was for about three hours out of the day). I worked it from one end to the other. Ok here goes... Water is 4 inch vis at the narrows, 6-7 west end, 12 midlake, 18+ east side. Temp was 56-60 west end, 46-48 far east end. Fish are just off the beds in 13-9 FOW on the brush piles and scattered around them and on select shorelines in spawning coves. No males were dark yet but it looks like they are ready to get up onto the spawning areas very soon. Most fish are holding very shallow at 6' but you can find them from 10' to 4'. Stay out late, the shad are coming into the coves on the surface and the crappie are gorging on them. I spider rigged and held a rod in both hands. When the rig got bit I would have to lay a rod down to grab the rod in the rig, as slow as that is to respond, I still was picking up 80+ % of the fish biting the rig. That gives you an idea about how aggressive they were, especially in the evening. Fished big baits, Pink out fished other colors. West end was by far the best but in a week or two it should be all areas except maybe the clearest colder areas in the far east by the dam.

UPDATE for 1st Geezer Camp April 8 - 10 (Wednesday - Friday) at Lake Sardis, OK....Stopped by Sardis Lake on the way home from the Spring Camp to check out the Lake and Camping areas. Sardis Cove looks great for our 1st Geezer Camp! Several of the campsites are located right on the water and you can beach your boat right next to your campsite. The Geezers that I know are going are IkenI, Woodworker42, Hat55, CrowderCrappie, davebrown42, Redge? and leejohnson45? Let us know if you plan on going and when you will get to the lake. The RV sites have water and electricity and can't be reserved. We may be able to "save" sites once we get there so let us know if you are coming. No activities are planned...just fishing, eating, tall tales and more fishing.

Woodworker42, I'll have to check on the cabin availability. Remember (I know its hard) that IkenI offered you a nice size tent and I have a 20" tall twin size air bed with a warming cover, linens, blanket and pillow that you can use. You may want to bring an extra blanket just in case. The restroom building is not too far from our campsite. I'm not sure if there are showers. I will be tent camping also. Merle, I know that you are a lot older that IkenI and me, however, I think you would enjoy camping lakeside. You will be entertained and lulled to sleep by a chorus of birds and frogs under the starry skies of Southeastern Oklahoma.....(can't you just hear the birds and frogs now?). Looking forward to the 1st Geezer Camp!!!!!!!

There are a few cabins within about 10 miles of there. But, I think the tent would be better than the ones I saw!
    Suck it up, Merle !!!!!
