Reaper, Where Fish come to Fry
Went back out today from 6:30 to 12 and caught a few stragglers we missed yesterday. Caught almost all of em on jigs, except for 2 caught drop shotting and 1 tight lining minnows. Had less than 5 throwbacks. Fished brush piles 12 to 16 ft.
nice catch whisperer were you fishing the main lake or the creeks?
Had a friend come over around 7 and I hooked up a Garmin GPS for him so he can mark the piles we drop next weekend. Afterwards we wet a jig until around 2 and ended up with about 15 keepers, pretty much the same size you got. We threw back the ones that were close to the upper right fish you show. Lake is down about 8"-9" and we could sure use some rain up north for the lake and a bunch around here for the dust.

Crappiehunter I've been fishin both.
Does anyone ever fish for crappie at Oologah by trolling crankbaits? I've just purchased a few bandit 300 cranks and would like to try them out.
I have done it sucessfully around here before up there a bonus would be a few nice keeper walleyes I loaned EB most of my bandits and we have failed to remember to meet and get them back I dont do it often so no big deal on that I think pulling jigs would be better for crappie or at least seems to for me big minus to that is all the white bass we have around I would be a betting man that you can pull cranks right now and have a nice mess of catfish if you like know at ft gibson for sure have fun Big George
I don't know how you would avoid the sand bass if you were trolling crank baits right now. They're everywhere right now.
I have my two grandsons in town for a week and would like to put them on some crappie or sand bass. Any ideas about where to fish and how? Are the sandies hitting topwater in the early morning anywhere? Any hope of finding crappie on brush in the Hawthorne area? Also am wondering if anyone fishes for walleye in oologah in the heat of summer? Afraid I am all questions and no help right now. I will post a report on how we do after Monday as we are trying to head out early on that day.
