It's been tough for me lately. Fished all day last Saturday and only had 4 keepers. I got out this afternoon for a couple of hours and caught 4 dinks and 1 keeper.

I have not had time to fish but a very good friend of mine fished Sunday and limited out with some nice Crappie. I gave him a garage door opener that I have had for years laying around the shop and when he came by to pick it up, he gave me close to 9 pounds of fresh filets. Yeah, I was fishing COE piles. I haven't made it out since. I'm going to try for Fri. or Sat. The extended forecast shows it's going to get real cold at the end of the week so I'm not sure what that is going to do to the bite.

Took my 86 year old mother-in-law fishing Saturday morning. We fished the docks at Redbud and cleaned about 25 good keeper fish. All caught on Bobby Garland Slab Slayers.
Her comment was "that's the most fish I have caught in long time." This was her first time to fish with jigs and she really enjoyed it. Some of the female fish were starting to make a small egg sack.

Hit the brush in around 14' of water and you should find them. They're near the bottom.

Went out today and the water temp was between 49 and 50. Found lots of structure but none holding fish. Was in Blue Creek, Hawthorne, and Will Rogers. Found some fish around 30-35 feet but unable to get a bite. Beautiful weather today but the fishing was terrible. Lake is REALLY low. It has been awile since I have seen it this low. Anybody doing any good?? Good luck to all!!
