Nice C2!!
Thanks to George (aka Crappie Ciller) for taking me cat hunting yesterday. I caught my two largest freshwater fish ever, a 37lb and a 35lb blue cat. It was a blast. A day we won't forget!

I took the Lund straight to the car wash afterwards-lol! It was an entertaining day with several big fish caught and met up with Ledge, his Dad and a genuine Sascatchewan gentleman at the ramp. Found out Miss Beazley prefers catfish to the one true fish, which was disappointing- but offset by Kyles first attempt at noodling- I think he was a little over stimulated by his second big fish and celebrated with a somersault into 47 degree water! I fish with a few balance challenged guys so we had plenty of warm dry clothes onboard and never missed a beat. KC MASTERPIECE also learned that you can't swing a 35 pound fish into the boat with a medium action rod! It was a fun day eradicating crappie killers from our home lake but next time we slime up Kyles boat. (-:

That is some really nice blues. Too bad crappie don't get that big.
Are the shad starting to thin out a little bit yet????
Nope, They are still everywhere!
Dang it, it sure makes it tough to find the crappie in the piles! (Or even find some piles) Thanks for the response, I'm debating on fishing the Big O tomorrow or heading to Kaw to pre-fish for next week!
I had a great time crappie fishing with one of my good friends and his father the past two days. It was gorgeous weather, but the fishing was tough. In two days we only caught 50 fish. We worked hard for those. We found tons of fish on piles, but could not get them to bite, in most cases. The evenings were by far better than the rest of the day, both days. There's definitely a lot more shad north of Will Rogers. The water was about three degrees warmer in Talala and Spencer than Will Rogers and south. The best color and jig type was the Panfish Assassin Pro Tiny 2 in (color: Slammin Chicken) with 1/8 oz jig. The second best was the Bobby Garland Baby Shad SwimR in Blue Grass (1/4 oz. jig). We caught quite a few good size crappie. The biggest was 1.71 lbs.
How did everyone else do on Saturday?
