Thanks for the compliment Whisperer. Now if I can just figure out how to load the live well....
Reaper I saw you trolling around like a spider! I agree with your weights. it has been tough to catch any good fish. I fished from the bridge to the dam the other day. never pulled a good fish. Lots of fish to be caught, but tough. I then got frustrated and went to Skitook for an ego boost. I was humbled again. this is the combined catch! Lots and lots of dinkers. oh, and Ottie is really not holding out on us. He is also not on any fish. I will fish again on Wednesday and report back.

Probably shouldn't admit this with the tourney coming up but Dennis and I snuck out there this morning under cover of darkness and fished until noon. With 2 rods in hand and 3/4 of my mind needed to run the TM I caught a triple within the first minute and blue/chartruese and pink/ black kept me busy for 2 hours. Dennis was drowning minners and I had him down 20 to 2 at one point. When they turned off my jigs I converted and caught hitchhikers on a drop shot minnow rig the rest of the morning. When we ran out of minnows I tried jigs for 30 minutes and couldn't buy a bite. We hit some new to us piles today and found fish on the 4 that we fished- in from 12-30 fow. First time in a long time that I used 2 clickers. The first one read 147 total and the second counted 74 between 10-13". Certainly the best keeper to dink ratio I have had on Oologah in the past 4 years. Kinda glad we ran out of minnows when we did- it was hot out there and very little wind. My 5 year old grandson had a great time helping me clean fish. He was the guy who shoved the carcass and skins etc into the bucket as I cleaned each fish. I about had him convinced that we needed to use my big Filipino knife on these slabs but the AA worked fine.

I think we will just tie up to Doug's boat and let him drag us around....lol

A few years back I caught the running bug and ran several marathons and short races and I recall that before every race several of the participants would moan and groan about their recent or chronic injuries, aches and pains and how they would be lucky just to finish this time out. Then they would take off like a shot and I never saw them again til the finish line. Believe we are witnessing the same phenomenon on this thread right now. I look forward to reading the results from game day to see all you sandbaggers on the board, counting your money!
Astute observation there, C2!!

An unexpected family emergency ($$, not health) caused me to cancel my run to the mountains this Summer, so I will be here when the Oologah tourney is going on. Never been there, so I'm not likely to put my boat on the water but if anyone knows someone needing a back seat partner that can follow instructions and split the costs, let them know I'm available. I'll even wear my hearing aids. I figure it would be a way to learn a little about the lake. If not, good luck to all.
