I fished Talala Creek tuesday and could'nt get a bump, fished wednesday after work and caught one dink and one barely 10" and fish a couple of hours today and caught one dink. Wind has been brutal to say the least so I'm decided to give it just a couple of hours when I can. If I'm not getting bit, then back on the trailer with the boat. No good reports from any of the regulars.

***FYI***. Jims Bait Shop in Nowata appears to be closed down. No signs of life yesterday (Thur 3/20/14) at 1:30. And Allens at Winganon is closed down for good. A 110 mile drive from B'ville to Big Creek really sucked. Got minnows by Oologah Dam. I fished Double Creek and Big Creek with Shiners on Thur. Not one bite. The water coming in from Kansas down the Verdigris seems to have the Crappie off the bite.

Just across the bridge from allens point is winganon store where you could have bought minnows.

Hey Reaper, I kinda miss Bennie the Crusher. Maybe he could do a cameo appearance now and then.

Saw 10 trucks pulling boats in a row coming into Nowata this morning at 0500! I thought there must have been a big tournament going on or something - but maybe it is just fishermen wanting to drop a line. I got a call from a friend saying the fishing was actually terrible. Not a single fish among them on the Verdigris river today! It has got to get better soon!

Parking spots at the Big Creek ramp were packed this afternoon/ evening. Water temp was 56.7 when I left the river at 5pm, but was chasing the whisker fish instead of crappie.

Just wondering if anybody is catching any crappie on Oologah? If so how deep and jigs or minnows.
