Caught a few in the Redbud area yesterday. Still not on the bank. Water temp was 59 to 63.

    Smile Blue Creek

What is the boat ramp condition at Blue Creek? Have never fished this area, any advise on structures, stumps or etc. to watch out for? Thanks

I fished the coves N/W of dam Monday morning and could only catch 6 that were 10" to 14". One white female full of eggs and 5 black males all were shallow but next to deep water. blk/hot pink and blk/yellow jigs. Everyone where out of minnows.

Went back up to Oologah this morning. Fished from 8a-3p. Left with 20 nice crappie. All males caught very close to the bank. I fished in 4-6 fow, 1 1/2 to 3 foot deep. They wanted minnows better than jigs. Their were other fisher people around me and they were catching nice fish also. When the bite is like this on Oologah sure makes it tough to drive all the way down to Eufaula. The biggest I had was 15 1/2 inches, didn't weigh him.

Oologah secret... Try to be fishing your spot before first light, 6-7 am seems to be the magic time for fast and furious catching action. Bright days tend to spook them out after 9 in the shallower water. Last two hours of sunlight seems to be hot as well. The night time bite is steady, but somewhat spaced out between bites. I fished Friday evening, Saturday morning and Sunday morning. Early hours were very good to me and caught several 10-12" with at least three in the 1.5 lb range. Fridays official count was 15 in two hours. Saturday fished until 4 and had to really work at it after 9 am.
Sunday mornings catch was 20 fish in four hours time. All fish were caught in 2-3' of water over an old beaver hut. Anyone else experiencing the bite turn off after a certain time on clear days?

It is on gang!!! Two different friends at 2 different area lakes hammered them yesterday afternoon and evening. Most caught are in 2-3 feet of water, with some fat females being pulled up also. A couple were dripping eggs!!! I'm off tomorrow - guess where I'll be!
