I received a text from my Corps buddy earlier today that they closed the gates. It should start to get good now that they are done letting out water. I'll be out there by this weekend. Expect to see an update from me.
No good news on the Oologah bite from me. Fished this weekend and couldn't find one brush pile with crappie on it. Fished from Talalla creek, to Blue creek and I'd go over the piles and I would be lucky to see 1 fish on the sonar. Fished the piles just to verify the sonar wasn't lying and couldn't even get a nibble. Strange season this year, haven't found more than 15 keeper crappie a day for months now. We caught 36 sandbass, 1 good crappie and 1 good catfish today, quite a few throwbacks too. Maybe its been the high water for months and the post spawn could be some of the problem too. I just keep hoping they'll shut the water off and the lake will stabilize. This time of year is usually really good fishin. I know they will eventually get back to their normal patterns, I just wished I knew when. All we can do is keep trying, Lord knows we've been patient enough.

The water level info (and more) state wide is Daily Report of Reservoir Conditions. The info is updated hourly and is very accurate. I check it several times a day whether I plan to fish or not. I never go fishing without checking. I have been using it for years and I am surprised how many fisherman are unaware it exist. Takes the majority of the guess work out lake conditions.
Bosshog, I check that website for several lakes pretty frequently myself but I haven't found it to be very accurate at all. It seems the lake level data is pretty good but but the inflow and release information is hit or miss at best for me and often times it's missing altogether. I check it but don't really trust it.
Inflow and release is not quite as acurate but it is close as you will get if you dont have inside info. Normaly I look at the stations upstream to determine lake rise and fall potential and then couple that with the hourly data. You can get decent info if you look at the stations upstream. But the other info, wind, temp, level, solar and even precip is pretty good. I have the lake levels to be very acurate. I usually check before i go and when i return. I can pretty much tell, based on the level on the internet, exactly where the water will be on the banks and ramps before i get there.
Also, if you check the history files (monthly charts) you get acurate info for previous days.
Yeah, I do the same. You learn what you can trust and what you can't.
I was there saturday and the lake looks awful. Its a mudhole.
I'm gonna run by after work and see how bad it is. May try to drag up a walleye sunday or monday
Sure would like to kown Oologah lake condition as want to fish it or Ft Gibson Friday 6/8 Thanks
