Me and my fishing buddy made it out Saturday from 6:00a - 11:30a and did some slow trolling around the spencer creek area. The fish were scattered, but did find one spot where the action was hot and heavy for about 30 min, and they shut off. We caught most of our fish 8 - 13ft deep. Covered quite a bit of water but the bite was pretty tough. Ended up dipping some timber and managed to find a few good fish. Ended the day with 7 good keepers, and caught about 15 throwbacks. Caught fish on jigs and jigs/minnows. Can't wait it until this water warms up a little bit more. Might try to get out again this weekend to pull some crank baits. That reaction bite can be the ticket sometimes.
    Was that a bite?

Fished Saturday and Sunday, but had some battery problems Saturday. Didn't do much Saturday couldn't get my outboard started and had to fish close to the launch. Saturday caught 2 crappie and 10 catfish. Went again Sunday from 7:00 to 10:00 and it was another replay of the last 3 or 4 weeks. Caught about 20 crappie and brought home 10 keepers. Only caught 2 on jigs, and caught the rest on minnows. The crappie were suspended at 10 to 12 feet in 16fow. Had fun even though I didn't catch a bunch. It was a good fathers day morning and I brought home enough for a good supper. Hope everyone else had a good fathers day.

Thanks for the report Kevin. I haven't got to go much lately. I have been twice in the last month. The summer pattern should kick in now that the dam is closed and the water is heating up. I hope to start back fishing regularly after the 4th of July.

Sorry for the late report guys but I fished the south end of the lake last Thursday. I got a late start to begin with due to the storms and didn't get headed out until 6 or so. We were halfway to the lake when I realized I forgot my locators so back to the house we went and we finally got on the water at 7 or so. We fished some brush in various depths and ended up finding one that had some decent fish on it. We ended up cleaning 15 or so over 10 inches. The summer bite should be setting up soon and the fishing will get much better. Headed back out tomorrow evening, I'll let you guys know how I do.

I have fished Oologah the past couple of Saturdays and my experience has been pretty close to what I am hearing. I've been catching alot of little throwbacks but the keepers are hard to come by. Been fishing most of the day and only coming back with 9 or 10 keepers. The keepers seem to be suspended above the brush with the limbs that come up higher in the water column being the better piles. I've been using a variety of jigs but catching most on Bobby G's. Hopefully the fishing will get better soon! Something else that I've noticed is alot of the females still have eggs. Not sure what to think about that.

Okfishing, we started trolling cranks about 6-7yrs ago on Oologah. We primarily use 200-300 series crankbaits in various colors. We will use the 400 series but not as often. We typically troll b/t 0.5 to 1.0 mph. We focus on flats that are close to a drop off. Let me know and I can give you more info.

Made it out Sat and dipped some brush, timber, and pulled some cranks. As with everyone else we couldn't find the numbers, but caught a few good fish. We didn't have any luck in the timber, but found some fish in the brush and suspended above the piles. All fish were caught on jigs and cranks. We didn't make it out until 3p, so we decided to skip the minnows. It'll start picking up jus gotta stay after'em.
