Sounds like you guys had a heck of day Craig. I fished Saturday and brought home 23 keepers. I fished 3 different spots that ranged from 2' to 20'. Found em shallow and caught about 15 in one spot on jigs. I guess you guys had em cornered in your spot. Bet you guys had a blast.
I can't speak for Reaper but I had an absolute blast

I got back out this evening after work. I couldn't get anyone to go with me so I hit the water about 5:30 by myself. I wasn't alone though, the lake was packed. Someone must have told everybody the Crappie were biting. I fished the same areas as last week, shallow brush in 4 to 8 feet of water. I used minnows and ended the evening before dark with my limit. Unlike last Thursday when I caught nothing but egg laden females, tonight I caught a few males and quite a few females that had spawned out.
Me and a friend got to go Monday, and we had a great time fishing in Talala Creek. I would like to thank the Reaper for his tips on where to look. We caught somewhere around 70 to 80 total, but we culled hard and cleaned 45 really nice crappie. All caught on a certain jig - not one fish caught on a minnow! It was a great day of fishing; a good mess of fish and a good friend to fish with makes for a super trip! Thanks for the tips Reaper - you da man!!!
We went out at 1030 on Monday and fished to 3pm. We decided to try the main lake brushpiles in 10-16 fow. We caught over 100 fish and kept 48 over 10 inches. Most of the keepers were just 10-11 inch fish. I did have a 15 1/4 incher that weighed 1 3/4. Now for the real kicker, most were females. Most just busting with eggs, only a few had dropped. We did see a couple guys catching them by pitching jigs toward the bank and most of their fish were males. Best colors were flo/yellow head with blk/char body and orange head with pump/char body.

I will post a pic of the big one later. Forgot to upload the pic to my computer.
Common sense isn't always that common!
Made it out yesterday with a couple buddies. We had a great day on the water. Ended up keeping 70+ fish all 10 inches plus in 16" to 3' foot of water all on jigs. This is personally my biggest fish!
