lol...good luck at getting them to do anything....My mowing permit took 13months to receive it.....That would be great if they would help out that way...but any piles i fish have been put there by myself!
I called the Eufaula Corp. of Eng. today and told them what a great job Ooloagah Corp offfce is doeing with their brush pile day each year! Also told them what an outstanding job the Ft. Gibson groupe are doing on repairing their boat ramps and installing new courteous docks at their ramps.
I beleive the squeaking wheel gets the grease. So how about more people calling them and maybe your State Rep.
Eufaula Corp sities have fallen into disrepair compaired to other Eastern Okla. lakes.

Keep in mind, some of the boats we used at the Oolagah brush day this past year were on loan from Eufaula. Eufaula is an awful big lake to take care of and I wonder if they have any more staff than the smaller lakes.
If WE do nothing how do we expect any thing to change?
It's been a while since I have posted on here. I do read threads from time to time. Deerhunterodie, you were correct about the Bucks of Gaines Creek ramp. It is very steep and usually muddy when it rains. Fourwheel drive is very handy. I launch there a lot and have never had trouble with anything. The hwy 31 ramp you found is a decent ramp so I'm told. I live about 5 minutes from Bucks of Gaines and Bugtussle so I always use them instead. I was out in Gaines creek the weekend before your great story and caught about twenty just trolling the channel with jigs. Colors I like are black/pink, white/pink, pumpkin/chartruese, and white/chartruese. The weekend after your story I was there too and like you said there was a lot of current heading into the lake. I found a few fish but I think they were holding onto the cover with their fins. I got only a few small bites and I think that was from hitting them in the head with my jig. Maybe someday I'll run into some of you guys down around here. Be on the lookout for an older tan and brown aluminum boat.

Slinger, I hope to meet you down there sometime. I have a 97 white Ranger trimmed in grey and red with a 175 merc. I usually fish with a couple other fireman, so we can split the expenses. I may get to go down later this week or early next week. Are you going to make it to the meeting in March? If you do look me up.

Common sense isn't always that common!RLCRAPPIE LIKED above post
No, I won't make the meeting. The last half od Feb and most of March is one of the two times of the year I have to(get to) work 7-12s for outage maintenance were I work. But maybe we'll run into each other some day.
