Water temps got up to 54 degrees. We caught 64 keepers had one fish that was 2.1lb. Spider-rigging minnows 10-12ft in 15-23ft of water. The bite was a little weird though, lost to many fish at the top of the water and the fish we caught were caught everywhere in the the mouth but the roof where you are suppose to catch'em. This could has been caused by the full moon saturday night and last night!! Good Fishing EB
54 degrees? Already? Man, I'd be hitting those creeks doodlesocking every bit of brush that I could find in 2' or less of water. Especially at night from about 3 am till around 10 am. After that, you might as well stick to the shaded areas. I bet the temp at Oologah is sitting around 40-42 right now. That water was cold Sat and Sunday.
Reaper, Where Fish come to Fry
Water temps up to 50 degrees. We spider-rigged minnows 8-10ft in 15-20ft of water and caught 57 keepers. We had 15 fish that weighed from 1.25lbs-1.75lbs. Lots of shad at the surface!! these fish come from the south end of the lake. Good fishing!! EB
There wasn't any throw backs on purpose. The bite was finicky in the morning then when we down-sized the minnows it got better but man it was cold. Partly sunny's ass!!! "How bout freeze your ass off with a peek of sunshine so you can feel your fingers for a minute!!! Now that is a forecast!! EB
I hear ya! but catchin fish tends to make it alot more tolerable!
"Never Fry Bacon Naked"
Had a friend of mine fish yesterday they fished from 11-5 they caught 51 keepers spider-rigging with beaver-tails and minnows 8-10ft in 15-20 ft of water over channel breaks. They had a couple of fish that were 1.75 and they all averaged about 1lb. They caught more fish letting the wind blow them down the channel than slow-trolling into the wind!!!"When it cold or tough put some minnows out and get moving" Meal on wheels" Good fishing!! EB
Sounds like the fish are getting hungry coming down in another month can't wait for the thump on the line.
