I went down south this afternoon. I fished shallow, deep, chunk rock, timber, channels, flats.....and I caught a bass. Beautiful day to be out though. Shad were thick in the coves but I couldn't get the crappie to bite. Had a couple of thumps but nothing in boat.

Had a cancellation and then a call to get in a fast trip for today before the Gr'Son headed to college next week. Fished main lake points in mid lake areas 14'-22' drop shoting minnows around big boulders and wood. The bite was light and you had to be on your toes to feel the bite. We had 4 crappie at noon fishing shallow 6'-12' so we moved deeper after marking fish on and along the channel breaks around the rock n wood. Ended the day at 3:30 with 38 nice fish. Biggest was 1.96 with many between 1.20 to 1.40. Great afternoon and Thanks Joan Hill and her Gr'Son Levi......Ranger

Went this morning and fished at lake Eufaula Marina and got very few bites, no one there was catching much until a little after noon when we left.
