2 big fish from today. It almost tourney time just wish I was gonna fish it but already had trips booked well in advance of the tourney scheduling. It is what it is.......2.54 Black @ 17 1/4" and a 16 1/8" White tipping the scales @ 2.21......Ranger
Fished the Crowder and Rock Creek for a while Saturday and caught 5 about 16" deep just off bank , all males , largest was 1.65 lbs, 2 had darkened up. Also caught a 1.97 lb female sandy about 6 in deep that was fun!
They say they have been biting better in the evenings and early morning, I was there mid day!
1/8oz Yellow Maribiou Jig , and/or minnows. The yellow jig tipped with a minnow was good a week before and was getting them pretty good at 8-10' deep.
A friend has been stopping at the culvert across from the ball park in Crowder after work and getting 15-20, 3 nights last week.
The bite at Mill Creek and Coal Creek should be heating up with the warm weather this week.
Go get'um boy's and girls!

Fished last Friday at our dock. Only caught 2 little ones and 2 small cats. Sounds like the males have moved in closer to shore so I guess I'll give that a shot this Friday.

Nice fish for sure. Love those black crappie!'
Are they showing up on the banks yet? I've not heard any new reports recently and was thinking about heading to Eufaula Friday.
There are some reports that some fish are being caught on the bank but it's really hit and miss. It's still early remember last 2 weeks in April- May is the peak time for the spawn on the big E. EB

EB I fished Mill Creek for a couple of hours last night, I caught 2 Males 2ft deep in 4 fow tight on timber.
I was back towards the South Canadian River, It sure looks fishy.
I had a report from a neighbor that Tuesday a friend of his cleaned up on big Crappie but he was up in Mill Creek. I have yet to make it up to the creek, those 6" deep mud flats jump out of that channel VERY quickly

I have to get down to Mill Creek. Every now and then I hear talk about it here. Is that a ramp off of N4110 Rd???
Yes Mill Creek Ramp is about 4 miles south of HWY 9 off 4110, there is a sign for it on Hwy 9. Instead of turning North for Stidham you turn South.
Where you put in looks pretty bad but when you go South and check out the creeks and back water sloughs I can honestly say I have not seen anywhere on Eufaula that looks as fishy. Coal Creek is a close second. They both look fantastic. Lots of Timber, water depths are good and the water is clear enough for them to see your bait. Lots of depth changes with deeper channels right next to spawning type shallow water. Mud / gravel Banks with good depth right next to them. Go West then South from the boat ramp and watch your depths closely. Stay out in the Middle and go slow until you learn where things are. This place will get you if you aren't cautious. I think this may be why fishing pressure is way less than other areas. Good Luck and be safe.
