Size: 3.3 KBFished today with EB and Todd D on the south end of the lake and we kept 44 nice crappie and had several tournament fish pull off before getting them in the boat. The pattern today was shallow stumps, laydowns, and trash under willow trees in 3' to 5' DOW. Baits were from Bobby Garlands in blue thunder, pearl, black shad, and blk/chart. and Slab bandits in pearl, truse/pearl, and black/chart. Also we caught several on Yum Wolly Bees in pumkin/truse. Water temp got up to 88 degrees this afternoon and the bite was fast on the right stuff. Heres a pic to Todd D...Ranger

Had the chance to spend the day on the water with two really great guys and real good fishermen. EB and Ranger both are a good people and very fun to fish with and I would recommend spending a day fishing with either one. Had a great time and caught alot of fish and learned alot. Todd d.

A guide would be a big help if the cost is in the budget. I fish the inside dock at the state park. Even in this heat they catch some nice crappie. They have a snack bar and bait right there in the dock. Good luck.

Ranger and I went this evening, we started around Arrowhead and fish from there to Blocker to the timber in Railroad cove and caught only four small ones! So we loaded up and headed to Coal creek we went up the creek a ways ended up catching around 30 on stumps 2-3 ft deep. We found in 5-15 fow. Not a bad day but we had to idle all the way up the creek it's really stumpy right now. EB

Glad to hear you caught some fish. I fished timber at Longtown on Sunday and Bugtussle Monday and struggled to get bites both days. The fish I did catch were very shallow 2-3 fow on wolly bees, black and pink. It was definitely off from the previous week. Racquet an

Went out on the north end this evening got on the warer at 5:00 fished til 8-15 or so and caught 23 keepers out of brush piles in 8-14 ft. We were fishing Cajun cricket and pepper pearl baby shads. The water looks better than I have seen it in months! EB
