I went today, water temp is 68 overall in the Crowder area. I caught 3 before my motor conked out and I had to get out of the water.
It looked like the guys fishing at the culbert were staying pretty busy, but people bank fishing appeared to be having a slow go. People on the dock at Crowder weren't doing much better.
There were 3 vehicles parked on the west side of Crowder along hwy 69 fishing the culbert opposite the one I mentioned above.
I kinda think they are moving around and still actively spawning.
I hooked into one yesterday while fishing on a ramp to my friend's dock that was a beauty and keeps getting bigger everytime I think of him. Yesterday shortly after he got off, he looked like he weighed around 2 lbs, maybe 2-1/2. But the more I thought about it through the day, he looked more like a 3 pounder.
This morning when I woke up, first thing I thought of was how sad I was to lose a crappie that had to weigh close to 4 lbs.
