Boated 61 fish in 2 1/2 days of fishing. Fished from Panther Creek to Sand Springs Bend. Found very few off the bank. Most of the fish were staged just off the river channel in the flats in about 15' of water. Water temp was 65deg. Never caught a male. None of the females cleaned looked like they were close to spawning. Another strange spring on the Bow.

We had 25 2 days
Fished one end to other
I guess we needed to run just a little further up the lake. Holly was the furthest we made it. Next time I guess I'll check to see where mountain fork is at. Good report. We actually fished from Bull to Holly. Just couldn't hone in on them.
Glad you got on the water Jiggin! Sorry about the prop.
You know how it goes if we are going to play, we are going to pay.

Yet another not so good report from the Bow. Neighbor made a one day run down south yesterday. Ended the day with 14 crappie. Said very scattered no real pattern. Said this has to be one of the worse years that he can remember for the Bow. Seems as if everyone is baffled. Heard a fellow retired co-worker had been camped out at Holly Creek for the last month and he is saying the same thing. It got to the point that the fishing was so bad he decided it was time to pack it up and leave. These guys know where and how to fish the lake and it just seems to be one of those years it's going to be tough. Water temp at the Bow was anywhere from 64-70.
Fished Friday all day .
Caught 10 maybe
Worst year ever for me .
No pattern I can see .
No color stands out
Caught a few 12 ft....
I give up and planted the garden. .
24 tomatoes
24 sweet peppers
16 jalapeņos
Maybe I garden better than I fish
How high was the water level?
Lake is 5' above, but the hydro-electric turbines are of service for about 20 more days. This means any water released would have to be from the flood gates. Well if you been to the Bow you know that would kill the trout fishing so I doubt they use them unless they have a massive flood. Sure wouldn't hurt my feelings to let her rip.
Thanks for the update. I'll be headed down the first week of May for a annual trip and despite of all the poor reports, I can't hardly wait. The Bow is such a great Lake and we have always had success. Hopefully it continues this year.
