The Siri commercial is entertaining but I have never used it. I suppose it reminds me of work when management came up with a meter that was supposed to take the place of a technician being able to correctly diagnose a problem. Now no one there can trouble shoot now. I just like using what little ability I have without giving it up to a machine. That's probably why it has taken me so long to go to a downscan depth finder. I liked interpreting the information myself.

If if I said Siri call home it would most likely call a mental health care institution .

I went to Tishomingo today. The weather was nice when I left the house but upon arrival the temperature had dropped several degrees and there was a stiff north east wind. Some one once told me that a good fisherman knew when it was time to go home so I thought I would try being a good fisherman for a change

Received my new Garmin Echo 73SV late yesterday. I ran out of daylight before I finished installing it. All that's left is the power. I will crawl under the helm and get that done in a bit. Putting it off because I don't fit in the space necessary very well. I will mention that the installation instructions are very vague. Also; until I took it out of the box I did not realize it could not be mounted on a trolling motor which was where I purchased it for. I guess I should have read more before purchase. Looks nice on the helm though.

I thought they all came with a trolling motor mount? My 93SV did anyway.

Cabelas is usually pretty good about helping you out. If they don't, call Garmin. They should hook you up.

Traditional view looks great but side view and down view shows nothing at all

I managed to get down view and side view but it doesn't yet look like an outline of what's on the bottom, more like a cloud. I need to read the manual . I did finally finish the last of the 200 spoons I poured. Glad to have that chore done.
