Fellers, when you have gone 16 months without even sniffing a crappie it's just nice to be remembered! I get home from the Philippines in February OB which should give you time to hone your skills on your new home lake before I take you up on your very kind offer. And thanks for the C2 handle- I always wanted a cool nickname! (-:
Well C2 (that is C squared) I didn't know you were out of the country! Military? Just curious.
Maybe by Feb, I'll have some honey holes located and we can load up on some crappie for you!
Look forward to it.

Been on an 18 month mission trip in paradise, 3 islands in the Philippine Visayas. So far we have survived a 6.2 earthquake and the strongest typhoon ever to hit here but the hardest has been surviving the birth and milestones of our 12 grand kids from 9000 miles away. A close second has been missing out on some great crappie seasons but lurking on c.c has helped- been like a guy on a diet watching the food channel! See you next winter. Throw a few back for me!
Seems everyone is busy with other things but, not us dedicated crappiholics! Went out yesterday, again, launching at Little Glasses. Ran over to Bridgeview and got skunked, fought the wind and high seas to look at Rosevelt Bridge and again got skunked for the effort. Headed north, up Glasses arm and found a few on brush in less than 10' of water.
Water temp at launch time was only 60 and thought maybe there was something wrong with my Lowrance! Warmed up to mid 60's before noon but, the wind was really blowing too.
Not much of a report but, then it wasn't much of a trip either.
Seems to me the crappie aren't following much of a typical fall pattern. Possibly due to not having much of a fall this year? Of course, not being familar with Texoma makes it hard to get on any concentrations so far. I'm never going to give up but, it is discouraging. There is a LOT of shallow water, thousands of acres of it. Then the middle of the lake is 60+' deep and there isn't really a lot inbetween. Very little natural structure and not a lot put out by other fishermen. Think I'll resort to launching from the texas side and hitting the fish attractors put out by the state. They show 63, last time I looked.
Just rambling here, wish'en I was fish'in!

Glad you are staying with it OB. Before my self imposed crappie celibacy my primary fishing partner said the reason he likes fishing with me is that I never want to go home, even when they're not biting. I always figure maybe the next pile will fill the LW or maybe they will turn on when the sun goes behind that bluff or...... Well you know what I mean. I don't get these guys who fish for an hour and load everything back up. When I pull the boat at least one hour each way I'm gonna put in a full day but I might feel differently if I could fish several times a week. Looking forward to finding out! Thanks for your blog- you too Redge!
CC - where do you base out of when you are home and sink your roots again???
Keep after them OB! C2 you need to hurry home, prime time is getting ready to kick off!

General George- I never got very far in life as I live a half mile from where I grew up in Broken Arrow.
Redge- Keep throwing those dinks back for me and I'll be along to measure em in 89 days. Well maybe I'll hug the grand kids first- make that 90 days!
