Thanks, Bob. dj
How do you access butcherpen? Is it accessible with 20ft fiberglass boat or do you need smaller aluminum boat?
Thanks, Bob. dj
Go to googlemaps and find Tishomingo and expand it out till you can see Butcherpen Rd off of Hwy 22 SE of Tish.
You might be able to launch but, I doubt it. I would not even try with my 18' Lund.
Also, heading south from Tish, look back to your right and you'll see the tops of the submerged houses and a sign to
the Tish Nat Wildife Area.

Fished texoma saturday around little glasses area, caught some in brushpiles the bite was slow and basically shut off when the sun popped out, the fish we did catch were good quality.
They seem to be scattered everywhere on Texoma right now. With a small front passing through tonight and cooler temps ahead, the water temp should drop into the 60's soon. If you can try again this coming weekend, I'm expecting it to improve then.

We fished Buncome Creek Thursday. Neither of us had ever been there before so it was mostly a time to explore. Covered the entire cove with SI/DI and found NOTHING. A little brush up in next to the shoreline, too shallow to even get close to it. No timber and no structure holding any fish at all, other than shad. Finally found a boat house on the west side, across from the marina. I caught two cats but, not a crappie bite at all.
I understand Texoma is the 12th largest lake in the country so it's going to take some time to eliminate areas and that is the plan for now.
Yesterday we spent driving around checking out other areas to try next.
More later.
PS: water temp was still 70 but, with much lower temps today, water temp will start dropping.

You are obviously a methodical guy. I'll bet you get good enuf on that lake to start your own guide service. As an Okie from Texas seeking redemption by moving back to the correct side of the Red River you are uniquely qualified to teach on the border lake. Good luck to you OB.
Now that is funny CC (or should it be C2 for C squared?)....but, yes, guess I am seeking redemption for living in texas for the past 25 years!
Don't know where you are located but, if you want to try Texoma, give me a call....no cost trips available!! (The guide bidness is way too tough for me!)

Nice report OB! It will take a while to explore that lake. Hopefully you will get on the fish, catch a limit, then explore before you pull out.
I am liking the C2! Think you just got a new handle Ciller !
