Great report! The quickest limit I've ever caught was at Sardis in the middle of summer. Havn't been there in years, but love that lake.
Glad you got on them Fishers!! Man puts up with rain, hail, and wind it's awful nice of The Lord to help a feller out!

Fished Sardis again yesterday. It was better than Thursday. Same pattern but no wasted time searching this trip. Big fish and little fish were a little more mingled together this trip but I was able to catch several fish over 1 1/2 lbs this time. Biggest was 1.71. The funny looking green trash fish was 4.91 lbs. I used 3 inch slab slayers that had chartreuse green in them. They definitely had an advantage over other colors both trips. You could still catch them on other colors but they were not as enthusiastic about it.

The Sultan of Selfies strikes again! Way to go Fishers! You catch so many good fish are you catch and release now- except for the trash fish of course- I know he is drying out in the rocks.
Lather, rinse, repeat. Well, sorta. I fished a completely different pattern, with the same results. Yesterday I fished flats with semi isolated cover. I had observed a old row of submerged trees that I had been passing the last two trips on my way to the creek channel. I decided to give it a try first thing yesterday. They must have been along an old fence line or were simply a divider between fields. It is about quarter a mile long with a tree every 20 feet or so. The section that was in 11.5 to 12.5 FOW had fish all along it. Just fished down the row, tree after tree had between one and five fish on it. After I finished that row of trees I found another similar area. There was small channel that came off the main creek channel that had a few trees in it cutting a depression 12 feet deep through a large flat that was 6 feet deep. There were fish all up and down it also. Biggest today was 1.75 lbs, with a lot of 1 to 1.25 lbs. Same baits as before.

Nice job Fishers, your going to have to buy you a place down there! LOL
That's spooky Kirk- exactly what I was thinking and don't forget a little shed out back for your mower and my cot! Appreciate your detail on these posts Fishers! I can really picture these spots when you describe them.
Very good observation and info
Fishers have you tried around the "fish attractor" buoys? We used to hammer em around them at Sardis. Only lake I have ever done very well on em. We used to catch em on all of em but the ones I circled on map used to be the best. Also I marked some timber that used to be really good.
