I really need to get a boat lol stuck on the bank for another year lol great to hear they where starting to come in. Wonder how this weather will affect them
Caught some nice ones last Saturday they turned on in the afternoon.I will try again Saturday and will let u all know
Let us know some details. Depth. Main lake, coves, creeks, timber or ??? Minnows or jigs or ?? Depth. I personally need all the help/tips I can get. I just got home from Copan, getting ready to post, and it's not good.
OK, took the boat and launched at Washington Cove at 2pm. Fished up in Wash. Cove then a main lake cove. Then just outside the entrance to Endicott's. Then in some standing timber in 5 feet of water. I caught 2 small bass. Zero crappie. Zero crappie bites. I could of done better at the Duck Pond. Used medium shiners and threw a roadrunner on the side. I fished from 18" deep to 3' deep. I saw 1 keeper crappie caught in 5 hours. As Cartman says "I'm pissed off".
We were catching them in cotton creek after noon past the bridge in brush. They were all females with bloody eggs going to run and gun for some tomorrow! They have been moving up shallow in the afternoons and I think they r spawning a little at a time the males just play with our jigs and move them not really taking them but the females hammer them.I haven't been there since last weekend it should be on about this time cotton creek and Osage plains gets everything going first.

Thanks Gun, hope you did well Saturday, nobody at Osage Plains did. I caught 2 in 7 hours. One keeper. I moved all around and even fished the concrete by the road. I'm giving up on Copan right now until I hear some consistent reports. Boat goes to Birch today.
Fishing at copan was tough Saturday we ended up jumping the pond dam at Websters to come up with what we had the lake was dropped 10 inches from the last weekend
I fished Copan Saturday, ended up cleaning 14 fish. Still in 5-7 FOW
