    I use to take my son out of school for a day towards the end of school and we would go to a different lake every year and just spend the day fishing together. Times like that are the good times I will always remember. Now he is grown up and still love spending time with him. Teaching him to drive, load and unload the boat now. Went this weekend and fished off the bank for a few hours and caught some nice fish. They don't stay young long so enjoy all the time you can with them and make it fun for them and they will always remember those times when they grow up.Name: michaels crappie.jpg Views: 511 Size: 46.8 KB

    My boy, my brother, my nephew and myself caught 41 keepers yesterday evening in a couple hours. Same pattern as my last report.
    Going to need to take a break to let my thumb heal up!

    I am going to try and go down and fish Monday. I'm going to leave the boat open if anyone would like to join me. I know a few people have expressed an interest in going so I figured it would be a good time to get to meet a c.c member or 2. Feel free to either PM me or post on here and we can try to work something out.

    Well, made it out this weekend in spite of the crowds. Got a limit Friday, Sunday and Monday. Found them scattered in 15-18fow, 10-12 feet deep.
    these fish were slamming a black and chartreuse Friday , but went to monkey milk Sunday. Man, the fish are skinny! And hungry... Bout take your rod out of your hand.
    p.s. Had to be falling or swinging to get bit

    Grandpaw I plan on retiring on grand in a few years. I hope you leave a few crappie in the lake for me. Glad to hear your finding them. Keep up the good reports

    Had a family trip down to Grand over the weekend. My brother and I trolled cranks in Carey bay on Friday and Saturday. 9 keeper crappie on Friday and 22 on Saturday. We started out targeting white bass but started seeing what I thought were crappie on the fish finder. We dropped the lines back and started hooking up. Trolled the deep water in front of the docks and the 15' flats next to the creek channel. Pulled Flicker Shad 7's 10'-12' deep (set back 70', 85' and 100'). Best color was any form of pink or purple. 1.5 to 1.7 mph worked the best. Only fished a couple hours each day, around lunchtime.

    Fished minnows under a light off the dock on Thursday night, ended up with 5 keeper crappie. White Bass took the rest of the 4 dozen minnows, did not keep any white bass.
