Wister Slab Daddy- you don't post much but when you do you always create a stampede for Wister. Those are all really nice fish! And a great post. Thank you.
Ledge I already have plenty of roundup, thanks for the sweet idea!!
RDJJ let me know how you do!!

Wow! Nice.
Give it 2 years and they will be keeping 10" fish and have a 15 fish limit after the stampede. Lol...Ranger

Wister has long been known for quality Crappie. But, before the internet it was all word-of-mouth. My granddad and two uncles (long gone now) fished it often for as long as I can remember (and that's a long ways.) There were people I used to know that came from New Mexico, Colorado and West Virginia 50 years ago for their own "Crappie Camp." I need to get back down that way.

Those are some toads
Just wish I was into crappie fishing 10 years ago when I was around that lake!
Fished Wister Thursday, Caught about 20. Five good ones up to 1.7 lbs. All over the lake from 7 to 14 feet. Used all kinds of different jigs. I am late posting because I installed a new HDS10 Gen 2 Friday and Saturday. With the 300$ bundle re bait it was 1769$ online. That is with the built in Insight map, transducer and structure scan. Couldn't pass on that deal. The fish are from wister. The "crappie tree" was from last June. I stuck it in Heyburn lake. I was never able to see it with my Humminbird 798 downscan. Here is a awful pic of it from yesterday when I was testing my installation. I have not been able to figure out how to view the Lowrance cvs log files yet, so it is a screen capture that was blown up and cropped with bad resolution. I thought it was neat to see that odd shapped crappie tree I sunk last year in all its Lowrance downscan glory. I got to say I am impressed with this unit, and no more running around with my trolling motor down (I have my Humminbird 798 side/down imaging up front). And thank you TC! I am so glad for your good word on passing on the HDS-8 in favor of the 10 inch unit. It was worth every penny and more for the extra screen size.
Good image of the crappie tree Fishers, plastic is really hard to see. dj
