Fair number of people at the dock. Most everybody got at least 2 fish over 12"s. Some 8-10 year old kids got some of the really nice fish, up to 15"s. Two saugeyes were caught, one 18.5"s and one 22"s. Again, most of the big fish were caught at 9'-12'. High winds caused a lot of trouble for the young sailboaters (they hit the dock three times).
Took home ten good fish, up to 13"s. 1/64th oz. peacock herl/chartreuse marabou jig above a 1/16th opening night BG worked very well.

It was a wee bit cooler today, so the big girls played hide and seek. Very few fish over 11"s. The dinks were everywhere. Got 111 fish, but only 5 over 10"s and one over 11". One guy hooked three saugeyes, but the only keeper broke his line. Best part of the day was that were a lot of youngsters fishing. Was able to help some of them by showing them the right depth, color of jig, and technique (and how to hold their mouths right.

Slayed the little ones again, and managed only three fish over 12"s. Got to enjoy a nice thunderstorm. Everybody else took off as the storm approached. I stayed and was nearly deafened by the large hail pounding on the roof. There were five boat trailers in the parking lot. Two of the boats that were out were filled with young folks, guys in trunks and girls in bikinis. I'm guessing there are some welts on a few people. Hopefully, no one was injured.

For two weeks, I haven't been able to upload pics. All of a sudden, using the same procedure, it's working. Must be those four little notes (Twilight Zone theme), which is where the wife says I live all the time.
The solo fish is a 15"er. The four fish are part of a bunch of 12.5"-14.5" fish. The roe picture is from last week.

Guess I can't count. Was thinking I had four fish in that pic. Four little notes?

Looks like I may hit CB on Sat. This is the 1-3 day total. The Sat forecast leaves most everything NW of Int 44 out of the rain.

Same old. Same old. 48 dinks and 6 between 12"-13.5". All of the big girls hit in about a 15 minute period. Used some jigs tied with arctic fox fur for the first time. They worked well, black/chartreuse and red/pink.
