Had a good friend stop by work this morning and show off his catch from Blackwell. He had 37 fish that were for the most part all between 10" and 11". Said he has been slaughtering them at the fish house. He arrived at 630 this morning and was leaving by 815 with his limit. He said he caught the first 15 on the outside of the fish house and then went in and it was one on fire. Depth was 4 to 6'. bait was a Joker in Black and chart. Said thats twice in the last week he has been out there and the bite has been hot both times. Think I am feeling a little sick, may need to take off tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saw swollen crappie today at the dock. Crappie still biting but they are a lot smaller.

Got out in the cold today and fished Carl Blackwell. Had to work for the fish today. Fished outside the fish house for the most part with the occasional break spent inside fish house to gain feeling back in hands and feet. Left with 28 fish. Had to fish right off the bottom to get bit. I was using pink and white Magnum tubes on 1/16 oz jig head on top and a 1/8 oz on bottom. Tried slab bandits, minnow minders, slab slayers and the strike king Joker but had no luck.While out there, I met a very nice young man who is also a Member of the site...nmolina...nice to meet you and visit with you. Hope to see you post more often on here. He was doing a lot better then I was...maybe he will chime in with what jigs worked for him. Gonna get up and try it again in the morning.

Me and my brother in law Jared fished for 3 hrs 2:30 to 5:30 I kept 16 and he kept 13. Bit on small feather jigs.

Fished Balckwell yesterday again. Fished from 7 to 1030 and left with 37 fish. The bite was okay, it was hot at times and then would slow to almost nothing. Had to fish outside the fish house to get bit. Lots of small fish yesterday. Was one other guy out there while I was there so it was nice to have room to fish. baits yesterday were Pink and Chart Jokers, Black and Chart tubes on 1/16ounce heads. Let it go all the way to the bottom and then real up a couple cranks. Here is a couple pictures of the fish. The one with my daughter was sat, the one in sink was yesterday and then dinner last night!!! The fish may be small, but they eat just as good as the big ones!!!!!!!!!
