Slow yesterday. Five keepers on black/pink, about 4 feet above bottom, dead sticking. Did get a 12 incher. Water visibility was about zero, as the wind had things stirred up. Plenty of room, since there were only 6 of us fishing.
Sky, will try to be there tomorrow. You going to be there?
Woodworker,
We will get together sometime. Did I detail your cars in the past? B
WW, I got your PM. I will be going but always on short notice. I think my next outing will be Prettywater for some trout. There was a big canopy in the way of my trout boat for the past 3 weeks but now it is installed so I can pull the boat out. Ran up to Grand yesterday to weatherproof the top floor, etc in case of a power outage (pour RV antifreeze in the comodes, sinks, etc.) and tried to fish in the dock for about 15 minutes with no bites. The water as I expected looks like chocolate milk. That 236,000 out the gates pulled some mud out of Missouri and Kansas.
Since Reaper wants us to start new threads for the various lakes that get quite a few posts, here goes. I wish the fishing were better than it was in years past, although it's kind of nice to have elbow room. Dark colors have worked best, lately. Hopefully the fishing will pick up, and we can have some good spring fishing as the spawn starts. Dipping and shallow float fishing were really good last spring, and yielded some nice saugeyes, in addition to the crappie.
