I have a 14ft Jon with a small outboard that I fish both the creeks on the east side of the lake out of, Give me a holler if your gonna be over this way on the weekend fishers.
I will start fishing Kaw probably in late april if the weather stays on the chilly side. PM your contact info dstreet.
I've been crappie fishing the smaller lakes around kaw for since the fishing reports have been negative. The cold weather moved the sandy's back into the lake. Friend with a mud buggy rig has been up and down the river for a couple of days looking for sandy's. finally found them stacked up north of bear creek. They should start moving back up this weekend.
Another buddy has been jugging blues. That action is hot right now. I'm headed out to kaw shortly to see if some crappie are hungry.
rivieboat, Crappie ciller LIKED above post
Some Nice Blues Dennis, Crappie come from Ponca? I too am headed out in a bit, gonna try Washunga riprap, Will have you guys a report Monday
Went up in the creek last night, in little boat, caught 7 on jigs, 2 close to 2lbs, in about 3fow. So a few are getting it on their mind. Forgot to put wingnuts back on batt or I would have had a temp for creeks, still felt cold to the touch though. BROMG ON THE SUNSHINE!!!!!!
DS....
Made it out to Kaw yesterday . Crappie were not to be found in the sarge creek area. Water temp was 54 degrees.
Anyone know of a map with the names of the creeks, lake arms, points, etc actually named? You guys often post these names but I can't find where the heck you are talking about most of the time other than the areas around the named ramps(washunga, sarge, etc)
I think you can google and get a map of Kaw lake to print off. I did that a few years back.
