Ok for some reason I was looking for a Crestliner not a Lowe. My mistake. Only way I could get them to bite was drop 5 poles with double minnow rigs down in the brush those days and it was still tough. When you have a dozen minnows in front of their face and it takes all day to catch em it's tough. Hope you guys have better luck your next trip. Now that I know your boat I will stop and visit. Fishing is getting better just don't know what this rain and front will do to them. Let me know when you head back this way.

Know you guys are probably sick of hearing this but fished this morning before the wind came up and killed them. Caught probably 80 crappie kept a few. Released several big females. Fish were 15 to 17 ft deep and water temp was 38 deg. Saw several smaller fish caught on pink / chart slabalicious mr. crappie and a few nice ones. Fished rip rap all morning. Wind was to bad to try anywhere else.

I'm a big supporter of keeping crappie. It's been proven an adult female crappie can lay between 80 and 100,00 eggs. In order to keep our lakes producing quality fish, we have to remove a lot of them to avoid overpopulation. With the lakes flooded all last summer, we had a tremendous crappie and shad spawn. On a second note, with todays electronics' technology, Chirp sonar, downview, sideview, pan- optics, GPS etc., they make the average fishermen good and the good fishermen great. Point being we need to take what we need and release the rest. Just have to use a little common sense and we will have great fishing our grandkids can enjoy.
