Best way to go by far.

How many gallon tank are you going to use? Probably going to do the same myself. Find a cheap filter on craigs list.
Right now I have a 40 gallon stainless tank thats a possibility. Have a 55 gallon plastic livestock watering tank in the barn that would work too.

Going to start a new thread on this for more responses.

Shame on me I thought that was what this was for???? I fished Big E this weekend so wasnt on the lake but heard some were being caught up the creek. Should be any day now for them to move shallow, creeks alot warmer than what Dennis has posted, went out last Monday and only picked up a couple after work, small males shallow.

    Great post ^^^^

Went out to Kaw around noon after a disastrous turkey hunting trip that left me angry.

The water temp was 59 at noon and 63 in the cove I was in by 5pm. Caught a bucket load of males in 2FOW.

Minnow bite. Couldn't buy a bite on a jig.
Kept 5 for dinner tomorrow, and kicked the rest back.

Yep, I fished for about 3hrs caught 30 or so all males. I did catch around 10 on jigs, seemed like I had to just let it set
in front of em and tick em off before they would hit. I hope the mama's will move shallower tomorrow before the storms hit.

Just got back from Kaw. Couldn't get bit at all. WT was 59 at McFadden Cove. Was using jigs. Wanted to get off the lake before the storms hit. Looks like made it just in time!

Your fishing to far south right now. Water temp at the north end was 63 deg this morning. We caught our limits in less than 3 hrs in 1 to 2 ft of water mostly males. Caught them on jigs and minnows. Catching the bigger fish on large minnows. The south end will pick up in a few more days
