Fishers those are two really good reports from two lakes that are over 3 hours apart. I'm surprised that there was that many people on Kerr in the winter, but if the duck numbers are low guys will start crappie fishing early. I know March is awesome down there but I have only been on it one time. Keep posting though bud! EB

Great Report Fishers. Looks as if you put in your road time and still was able to catch some nice fish. Glad you was able to get out and enjoy our great outdoors. Hope to see you next weekend at the Kaw Tourney....Ranger

Both lakes are 2 hours from the house one way . I will be back out tomorrow and probably Friday also. I think I will fish the same two lakes again working with the wind this time. Its supposed to be NE at 20 tomorrow and S at 30 on Fri. I think I will do Kaw tomorrow and beat the worst of the wind. That lake reminds me of Oolagah, the wind is typically worse than forecast and it really gets rolling on a south or north wind. I dont know if I will be able to to fish the tourney at Kaw, good possibility I will be out of town that weekend. Good luck to everyone and be safe if you go.

Thanks for the offer Mark, but I am afraid it won't fit either of us!! I'm working on getting good enough so I at least have a chance. Got more to learn, but it sure is fun learning!! It sure would be easier if I was retired!!

Beautiful day on Kaw, cloudy, a little drizzle but very light or no wind most of the day. Caught a bunch of fish, mostly small. Made the mistake of starting the day fishing Sarge bridge. I stayed too long, its hard to leave catching 6-10 inch fish every 20 seconds tho. Finally pulled myself away to fish the last 2 hours on structure in 30 to 37 FOW, fish were suspended again at 25-27 feet. Kept 10 biggest ones, best was 13 inches. BG baby shad in purple and blue ice on 1/4 ounce jig heads was the ticket. Fish were kinda funny today. At the bridge I tried other colors and jig types and very, very few bites, I would drop a BG baby shad in purple or blue ice right next to it and get a thump right away. I guess they want what they want. It did look like there were schools of shad around, maybe that was it.

    Default Kaw lake

Sounds like your hitting all of my favorite spots. I live a couple of miles from the lake.
