If the water keeps rising like that, the crappie will be caught out of deer beds under the oak trees.
Just talked to park rangers as they were closing Washunga. Water was going into boat ramp parking lot. They were moving to Sarge Creek next. Said Tulsa made them close all gates until further notice. Inflow is still around 55,000 and dropping. They expect it to crest around 1028 to 1029. It is at 1025.00 in photos. This is Washunga, Sarge and Pioneer. Pioneer will be the only usable ramp by tomorrow so plan accordingly. Main lake still looks good.
wow!
Tulsa must have had a change of heart. They are releasing 13000. Not enough but it will help. Inflow has really dropped so may be some light at the end of the tunnel. The Keystone restocking program is in full swing now.
As of this evening pioneer is the only ramp open on the north end. Inflow is way down so lake should start dropping tomorrow.
.....and then there is this
Fortunately the water stopped before it got into the main campground at Coon Creek but the boat ramp parking lot didn't fair so well. More rain today hopefully no floods. Amazing how many people were still coming into campsites with campers and boats. Guess they don't call ahead. Time to catfish for awhile.
