Now THAT is a jug! I have not seen one that big on Kaw. Once saw red 2 gal gas cans, eight to a row, 20 rows as jugs. I don't know how they afforded them. Talked to GW about # jugs and he didn't care.

Don't know where all that junk comes from but I saw tires/rims, buckets, bottles even basketballs comin down the river. It makes you sick to see it. Looks like crappie season is in trouble. Lake is rising fast with 16000 cf coming in and they are only releasing 4000 cf. Lake came up almost a foot since yesterday and rising fast. Hope everybody likes catfishing up here.

Tried the crappie yesterday. We caught one sand bass, two walleye, and some small bass. No crappie. Time to get the big rods out and do some drift fishing for blue's I guess.

All the Jayhawkers must have threw their basketballs in the creeks when they got beat in the tournament. Happens every year.

Well the Corps pulled the plug and are releasing 10,000 cf. Inflow has stopped and lake has fell almost a foot. Tough fishing right now. A lot of current on the north end. Lake is muddy with water temps from 62 to 67. Wish I had a better report but I would look at the water release before I planned a trip up here. South end may have better water clarity haven't fished that side in a while.

Put the catfish poles up today and went after crappie. Killed them. Caught all the fish in 2 to 6 fow on black / chart and red / chart. Water temp was 69 deg. Kept a few females to check their eggs. Ended up catching over 60 today. Had several in the 2 lb range
