with surface water temps above 90 degrees the bite has slowed some..fished Friday for the 1st time on Gibson for several weeks due to family issues and was surprised of the off color of the water and the high surface temp..found that the fish I had located from my last trip were no where to be found..shallow brush and rock piles all that produced 2 to 3 weeks ago were empty..fourtunatly caught a nice stringer of fish but had to fish stuff that hadnt produced all summer..still rock piles in the 6 to 10 foot range but alot further from the bank. say 1/2 mile from the bank with a steep drop off 1 side. The bite was very very lite and if the wind had been blowing you would not of felt the bite. Ended up with 13 respectable crappie all over 10" and didnt have to measure a single 1 but after the 11am hour it was hot enough to fry an egg on the boat seat..time to head home and the A/C..REMEMBER TO DRINK LOTS OF WATER AND WEAR A BIG FLOPPY HAT ALONG WITH SUNSCREEN..I do not have any stock in this company but my Dr. recommends BULL FROG..it works for me
