I was there in Jackson around 11 am i guess and fished there for a couple hours George, I had come across the lake from 14 mile creek.
Nuttin but jigs decker, hadn't bought a minnow in 20 yrs and have no intention to start.
Smoky anytime you want to get in my boat and get your hair messed up holler, I am still working some and since my wife is a school teacher its her vacation time so I have limited days to fish during the summer, but I can play hookie some Rofl

SMOKY not sure I could teach you anything. But I am willing to learn from you. Sounds like a fun day thats forsure. Give you a chance to try that Falcon Rod and nope its not for sale, it has to stay with the boat..Rofl can you go at a short notice incase I can get away sometime next week maybe..be like late next week before I get aday off..after that be after the 17th of July before i have a free day and not saying next Friday would be a free day either since its a week away.

Personally I haven't been able to get back on the lake since last post but heres a report for ya.. My buddy had fished 3 days before the 4th weekend and had a limit each day before 10am and he isnt an early riser. He and a friend caught 37 keepers cleaning only 30 before 11am on the 5th and the fishin is heating up he says along with the noon temps. Hopefully they will not catch em all before I can get back on Gibson. Heading to Eufaula for a weeks worth of camping with family friday so just maybe I will have a report on that lake when I get back

Ranger is correct on the bite at gibson we have got our limit every trip so far,, man am i glad if finally bounced back after 4 years we are seein some good fishing again
we have been gettin the best bite in 3 to 9 FT of water brush ,rocks, laydowns, doesnt seem to matter been catchin em on bobby garlands bluegrass, red thunder and blk and chrt tubes of course
