had a limit of 15 today but it was a very hard day fishing to do it..started at Cherokee Landing, 1st pile in 16' caught 9 nice crappie with many throwbacks..(thought wow this is gonna be 1 of those days)..i was right fished for 7 more hours just to catch 6 more keeper fish..and had a hard time doin it..fished brushpiles from Cherokee to Cookson and the trees back..was a tough day..hard to find the right depth pile or tree..but a day on the water beats any day at work..
GOOD FISHIN

Actually I consider 15 keeper Crappie on Tenkiller to be a good fishing day. Way to go.
Fished Tenkiller this morning. Hit about 20 brush piles that usually produce well, but notta one on any of them today. So I went to looking for new brush. Found a good pile on the outside of a dock and caught about 25 out of it. The bad thing is not one of them was big enough to keep. I did enjoying getting back out on the home lake though.
we went sat. 3/12/11 fished standing timber at pettit only caught 2 keepers. bite was slow wished i would have ran up to cherokee and tryed some brush piles. might go back this weekend depending on weather.
Take a man hunting or fishing for a day he'll eat for a day.

kd had the same trouble fishing the trees..its the brushpiles in 20 to 25' of water producing..well were the last time i went..hard to find those piles that depth since the lake is low..have alot of piles that are that depth when the lake is normal but now they are in like 15' of water and dead..but if your into marking piles for spawning fish when the lake is normal now is the time to do that..they are sticking out of the water..alot of them i put in so pass them by ok..lol..

KD, pass up gibson unless they get the level down and stop drawing the lake..corps has drawn all the cold water down the lake which has cooled off about 7 degrees from a week ago and the bite is OFF..those fish hate the current..lock jaw for sure...but dont take my word for it..have a go at it and tell me how it goes..
