Tuesday 6/7/11 put in at petit bay fished down to 6 shooter without getting a strike, water is still about 8' high and off colored so headed up the lake and caught my first crappie in the Cherokee Landing area. Skinny and well used up crappie I might add. bottom lip was almost worn off from rubbing. Ended up all the way to Carter's Landing and had 6 total crappie for the day. All the crappie were in really used up shape. The water was very fishable above HWY 82 bridge.

Most of the brushpiles in the upper end of the lake and along the river channels have washed out from the fast current and high lake levels this past spring. So its time to start sinking brush again since school has started and the traffic on the lake has slowed down some. Just saying that if you have fished a woodpile and have it marked on your GPS and you look for it and cant find it dont blame it on your equipment cause its gone, washed out, needs to be rebuilt. I can use alil help..

Beautiful day on Lake Tenkiller..28 Total keeper crappie with a few throwbacks. Early bite was slow picking up around 10am and again slowing around the 2pm time. Water temps at 7am was 77.8 degrees and warming up to 80.3 around 5pm. The nice Black Crappie pictured weighed 2.06 lb..was full of shad and caught in 7' of water. The lake is around 4 1/2' low and the fish were caught in rock piles and woodpiles in 6' to 12' depth.

LOL..not smart enough on a puter to do sumpin like that slavenst...LOL...this is a great time of the year to be on the water especially with a North breeze blowing since those shores hold most of my spawning woodpiles and can be fished with that breeze. But be carefull since the lake is low. I hit a tree top in 36' of water running at a speed of 42mph crusing down the lake which I was lucky it did no damage to the Ranger and my buddy and myself survived. And I know that Lake like the back of my hand. The Ranger just tilted up alil on 1 side which felt like a foot or so and then dropped back on plane just like that..makes the ole backside pucker up alil..just thought I would throw that in there for good measure..
