Fished today with Steve and Ronda from Grove. We were able to dig out 22 and no telling how many we missed due to bow in our lines. 16' to 45' and on wood.......Ranger

What are good colors on x-killer?

Day 2 with Steve n Ronda which have become new and lifelong friends. What we found on day 2 was lots of current which made the open main lake wood non fishable, and the fish were absent from all the wood we fished the day before. With that said we did a lot of scanning and exploring today to become successful. Short rods cast n dragging to take the active fish off the new wood, then vertical jigging to remove the spooked fish from inside the wood. High Standard Rods preformed amazingly while getting the toads out of deep brush, and sensitive to feel the lightest bite. Baits in Pearl and Pearl/Chartreuse were the colors today. Finished up on trees in 54' of water where Steve came alive. After Ronda fought a PIG earlier in the day and losing her as she jerked to hard trying to get her in the boat, the boat bottom will now need some repair from all the stomping she did after being rejected from that big girl. Well I was able to go with cpd21 and wareagle yesteday evening. We fished from 4:30-dark and ended up with 10 keepers. All the fish came from standing trees along the channel edge. We were using 1/8th ounce weedless jigs in pump chart, monkey milk, and silver fish. it seemed you could get a few bites at each place, then you had to move on. It was there 2nd time on Tenkiller. EB

had a great time fishing with cpd21 and eufaula boy yesterday evening on tenkiller.really appreciate eb for taking us and helping us get the hang of tenkiller.it was good to have someone who knows how to catch fish on tenkiller (and he sure does,proof was in the livewell lol)to help a fellow fisherman out.thanks again eb
