Fished the Killer today and the lake has risen 2' over the last few day with lots of trash floating in the Cherokee area. Didn't go above that area due to off colored water. Not saying it's not off colored elsewhere but much more fishable water below Cherokee. Fished from Cherokee to Little Sizemore today and caught a few everywhere I stopped. Fished new stuff today as well since I was alone and that's the time to look. Also saw Doug and Loy today and they were testing the waters as well. Enjoyed the time we spent chatting on the water. Small baits were the choice today with the shad everywhere being in the 3/4" to 1 1/2" length. Didn't matter what bait you fished as long as it was Pearl/Chartreuse either, 8' to 14', and touching the wood vertical. With the blue bird day after the front they wanted no part of a cast n drag technique. Wt was 69 early and got up to 71 at 3 PM. Ended the day with 31 keepers and only 2 short fish, only had 9 and noon. Afternoon bite was much better.......Ranger
