SNaylor - I have heard of them schooling up in deeper water in the winter but around brush piles. are you fishing brush or open water?
Still catching them at the marina. Several had full buckets today when I was out there. I must add...it was a bit windy too! Most of the catching was done in slips with water in the 12-15' range with the crappie suspended in the 7-10' range. Yes some of those guys keep some that I wouldnt but I know of some of the oldtimers let the larger ones go.

It doesn't necessarily have to be brush it can be any kind of structure really yes I have been catching them in open deep water all winter this is true but it's what's under the water that makes it such and attraction for the fish as well as the bait fish I'm sorry for not being precise on location of my where bouts when I'm out there but any fisherman knows that's a given I'm leaving for Longmire in the morning caught them in bout 5 to 7 feet of what there given I only caught 5 or 6 but they were all 17 inches or better biggest being 18 and a hair but if you have anymore questions I will answer them to the best of my ability

Will do in the pictures I have plenty of them being fairly new to the website by just a couple of days I have only figured out out how to set up my profile picture still haven't figured out how to post on the home page or post pictures else where maybe you can help on this
Open Photobucket.com and set up an account. Then import your photos into your library. Go to the photo you want to post and you will see a small symbol at the upper right. Highlight that and select "get links". Then click on the bottom one (img codes for forums, boards.) This will copy the photo which will allow you to paste into your forum post. It will appear as such in your post:
Let's see some of those slabs!
p.s. spelling and punctuation helps an old geezer like me understand your posts.

The easiest way I know is to "mouse over" the icons at the top of the quick reply box, click insert image, click "from computer" and you can pick any picture on your computer.
