In my almost 2 yrs now of having my boat in a slip, I personally have not heard anyone complain about anyone fishing around the docks. The actual marina owner might say something but he's not out there much during the winter. If its the least bit cold like it has been the last few times I've been out, it's been either just me or me and maybe 2 or 3 others.

I wasn't out there but a couple of times this year due to my son's birth in Nov of 2012. Took some time off. I'll be out there in 2014 hitting it hard again. If I see ya I'll holler.

I didn't make it out, ended up taking the boat to Carl Blackwell since they seemed to be slaying them on the dock. Ended up catching 65 (tons of dinks) and cleaned 20 good ones.

What did you catch them with? Sounds like you made a good decision!! Even the dinks are fun to catch.

DrNip, you only think you will get back out there next year! That little boy will consume you!! there is no end, that i can see. My boy is 21 months and i now fish about 1/3 of what i did 2 years ago. He consumes my time like fire, my priorities have changed. Its not that his moma is harping at me, I just can not leave him. haha he is big enough now that i took him coon hunting with me just last night.

We were vertical jigging using 1/8 oz heads and mainly Bobby Garland jig bodies. The color didn't seem important as long as it had some sort of chartruese in it, black/chart, red/chart, white/chart, and even electric chicken put a few in the boat. They were all 18-22'.

Bone try out on east side of docks from where the road bed runs out in the lake and south side, lots of structure left from tornado damage in 20=30 ft water. you should be able to find it with your graph.

Oh I know. I have a 3 1/2 year old girl. Luckily she is all about the outdoors with daddy. It will be years until I fish the way I want to. He is just at the stage of getting into everything.
