Man at Denver Corner store told me that the new marina is open. I didn't go look.

The best time to fish is whenever you can.
The docks are in the final phase of construction. The guy building the store had to stop until they got something inspected I believe. They are trying to get enough of the store completed to have it open by Memorial day at the latest, earlier if possible. Although im no expert but the new docks are very nice! The owner is having to do some things that the Bureau of Reclamation are demanding before he can open. To listen to him tell it, its been a nightmare of red tape to keep the construction going. He is hoping to be able to have docks, (slips), whatever they are called available for use in the next couple of weeks. I'm seriously thinking about getting one since I'm usually by myself. I'm thinking less work loading and unloading the boat and with my job taking me to norman atleast a couple times a week, along with my days off it will be easy to get alot more use out of my boat....
Everyone has a secret talent they didn't know about until tequila.
Wow. I must have had my bearings off! I haven't been East of Fisherman's point much lately, but the one time I was, I was kind of looking over there from and distance and didn't see anything. I assume it's in the same place? If so, I must not have been all the way around the corner.

A friend of mine said he was out there last Friday and notice they had the marina built up quite a bit and had a lot of slips done. He didn't get very close as he was checking out other areas. He didn't do well fishing. I went to Ellsworth on Saturday and it was a bit breezy but not bad. I fish several areas with no luck or some small ones. Nothing shallow yet water temp was 58-59 degrees which surprised me as I thought it would have in the low 60's. The wind picked up pretty good and water got rough, thought i was a surf board a few times. I had to go all the way back across the lake and boy i got wet real fast and it was cold. So the fishing was done after a couple of hours. We need some warm weather soon.
Dang, that is awesome! What area of the lake were you in? I guess Im going to try Thunderbird(first time ever) Saturday. My two sons are wanting to get on some fish pretty bad. If you see us out there, dont hesitate to cruise over and visit. I drive a blue dodge pickup and my boat is a green 16ft Nitro Bassboat. I think we will set a few jugs too just in case we don't catch any crappie.
Well, I didn't have to go into work today so I took a trip out today. I launched from the Clear Bay area. That was a little tricky since the WHOLE ramp was out of the water, lol. I didn't catch a single thing! I think I found the grate, there is a buoy that reads "intake screen" by the dam. Im assuming that was it anyways. There was a concrete structure too, but it was completely out of the water so couldn't tie off to that. This crappie fishing is a little more tricky than I thought it would be. I may have to hire a guide if I plan on catching anything this year!lol
well hows the crappie biting? i havent been able to get out in a while sr. projects for college have occupied me for the past couple of weeks. i plan on getting out there this weekend
anybody finding any shallow?
