Fished a pond just off I-75 north of findlay.Found crappies and gills. 5 inchs of ice,and fish where in 6 of water @ 4 foot down. Icejig !/64 oz, Blackand Blue, with waxworms add. All just nice fish.. Most fish from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.

Great to hear! I've seen reports of people getting out north of me at Beaver Creek Res. near Clyde, but also some reports of thin spots.

I'm too darn scared to get out over my head on any of my ice... have one place yet to check, but fig it will be the same. I have a 1/3rd acre pond in my back yard and don't feel safe on it!!!! Most everything has HEAVY wet slush on top and only maybe 2"-2.5" of decent ice. Busted a hole with a form pin and sounded like whole thing was gonna go... I backed up.

I don't travel too far in the winter to fish, I'm out too much in the summer and would get strangled if I did it all year, so guess I'm stuck!

I used to feel guilty for being gone all the time when I was younger, but I have learned to live with the guilt and I feel much better now.:D

my wife used to get upset when I fish on her anniversary... I told her I fish on my anniversary.. I said I DO 40 years ago so stop kicking me...
