The look on his face is priceless.
My boys and me got into the crappie at East Fork Saturday afternoon. Weather was beautiful, water right around 60-61 degrees and we found them both deep and shallow. I didn't keep any, too lazy to clean 'em. The boys caught theirs on minnows and I caught most of mine vertical jigging tubes. Here's a pic of one of my 6 year old twin boys with one of his nice slabs. Looks like I forgot to change the date on the camera. It was 11/1/08.

They seem to prefer one more than the other?? (jig or minnow)
That picture is great! (fish is pretty good too)
I went out Friday for a few hours. We caught around 20 or so. Nothing to get exited about, most around 9"-9 1/2". Caught everything on minnows until the last 1/2 hour before dark then started catching a few on jigs. We moved alot and caught 2 or 3 fish most places we tried, we just never caught many in any one spot.
Looks like ya'll had a large time. Good to see a dad taking spending time with his kids. Catching fish is a bonus. That boy looks PROUD of that fish
The boys were using minnows and the bite was off and on, but they like to float fish. I was vertical jigging and the bite was actually pretty consistent. I was fishing a little deeper while they were throwing in toward the shallower water more. I think the jig bite was better only because the more consistent bite was over the drop offs and submerged cover. I really didn't try minnows much myself. Baiting three other hooks kept me busy enough to leave my float rod in the box. Great day though.
