Well I can give you a little help. I guess you are fishing the crappie usa tournament... so cant give you much. Water is currently stained to murky, Water temp should be in the 60's tournament time some females are being caught with bellys full of eggs. It should be prime time this weekend! get a map then head to big coves lots of standing timber in these coves. hope that helps some, good luck

Thank you so much for the info. I didn't expect much help, but when you have never been to a lake before, it is helpful to just know where to start!

if you get a lake map look up some of the tributaries on the east end of the lake like barnes, clover, poplar creeks as well as the east fork of the little miami. all of these areas have an abundance of standing cover, sometimes it
seems there is almost too much cover. as the other post said the water is still pretty murky but fishable, i myself seem to have better luck moving around alot almost like bass fishing i seem to get one or two decent crappie out of a spot and then thats it. as far as colors chartreuse is always a good standby as well as cotton candy color and i also do well on black and white.

If you get to fish this week/weekend it shouldn't take you long to find a pattern. The lake is not very big, you should be able to cover it in two days.
