Speckwick,
I guess we must be thinking alike! I called and talk to him to. I hope the lake goes down... I'm like a kid on christmas eve!!!!!
I talked to Mike at the Boar's Head today. He says he may need to postpone the first tournament due to the lake level if the lake isn't down by the weekend. Anyone planning to fish it should call him Friday at 513-724-1211 to check on the status. Figures, we wait all winter then get to the week of and might be waiting even longer.

I hear that! Trouble is now they are calling for heavy rain later in the week. Couldn't buy a drop of rain last year. Now I guess we are making up for it....

Just checked the army corp of engineers site for East Fork (W.H. Harsha)
Summer pool is 733.0 feet
Current lake level is 749.3 feet
Lake has dropped only 2.0 feet in the last 24 hour period
So just estimating lake would still be flooded at around 740.0 feet by tournament time... and thats with no rain! Looks like we may be taking a road trip this coming weekend!

Mike @ boars head said to call him around 12 noon to see if the tourney is still on. 513-724-1211 Now all we gotta do is hope and pray that we'll get to fish this sunday. I know that were ALL READY. So say ya prayers yall.

Ohio River has dropped about 7' in the last 5 days, maybe this will allow the corp to pull more water from the lakes.
I know how you tourney guys feel. I just got the release from the doctor today after surgery in late Dec. I've been sitting around because of restrictions since early Nov. Now I can play and nowhere to go. I have a friend with a pond, I may have to go there this weekend. I need some quality time in a boat.
Maybe at least we will have a better summer this year and we arent fighting the ramps all year. HOPEFULLY!

Extended forecast......RAIN most of the week next week too. We may never get on the lake boys. I'm still gonna try to get out Sunday if it ain't a wash-out. High water or not. I was down at the dam ramp yesterday evening and someone was taking out. Apparently that stop sign doesn't meen a whole lot. The water is down at the bottom of the turn around today, so at least you can get to the top of the ramp.
