Default Caesar Creek Spring 2017 Reports

Checked out the lake this afternoon. Lots of trailers in the parking lot but many were leaving around the time I arrived. Two partial docks have been installed.

Water temp was 47.5 when I put in at the North Pool ramp. Water was pretty muddied up.

The water temp was almost 49 in one of the coves north of the ramp.

Only ended up catching a couple. Others I ran into hadn't caught much either. The bite must have been better earlier in the day as a couple fisherman reported catching 40 or more earlier.

Started seeing a number of fish coming up from bottom at dusk but didn't stay to night fish.

Even though it was a tough bite for me but it was an awesome afternoon/evening to be out on the water.

Did you mean we met at CC, not CJ?

Got out for a couple of hours late this morning. Lots of trailers in the parking lot and boats on the water!

Water temps were between 55 and 58. Caught a few decent crappie along with some runts too. 5-12ft deep.

Boated 6-8 WB. A few were pretty good sized.

Went out yesterday afternoon, northern section. Water temps were 58-60. Winds were strong out of the east. Marked tons of fish but had trouble getting them to bite. They were either dinks or WB. I moved to another area and tried drift fishing with my own hand made jigs. Results were better, especially toward dusk. I don't know how many WB and dinks I threw back, but kept 15 good sized eaters. Biggest was around 12".
