I have fished Brush Creek years ago where it runs into the Ohio ,i have heard they catch crappie there as well as Eagle creek , they have good white bass runs in the spring. I would like to know more about the crappie myself .

Anyone out there know anything about these creeks on the river for crappie fishing. Just wanted to know if these creeks are any good for crappie and what the best way to fish for them is. Ive done some bass fishing there but never any crappie. Just wondering

Brush creek is one of my favorite creeks as it is long and deep with plenty of cover. Great for all around fishing with a nice ramp right by the highway.
hey guys
just my two cents: eagle creek has never been a great crappie creek for me and i dont know why i have caught a ton of large and small mouth there but never any crappie.... white oak is a different story though if you go up in whiteoak and go under the rt52 bridge there is another old iron bridge that is not used anymore, before you get to that bridge on the left hand side there is a small canal which leads to a "lake" where they used to unload barges 40 yrs ago. the south side of the lake is less than 3 ft deep and the north side is
up to about 15 feet deep and there a couple of old woven wire fences underwater there. crappie fishing here is usually really good from pre spawn til
june then they move back out into the river. one creek not mentioned was straight creek when i was a kid some of the best crappie fishing around brown county was there plus you will find after heavy spring rains straight creek is always the first creek in this stretch of the river to clear up.
thanks for the information about the creeks. I will put the info to good use,and post an update,as soon as possible
